Energy Data

Steelhaus Doors meets stringent California Title 24 energy efficiency standards, a challenge many manufacturers fail to overcome. Our Steel Doors exceed these requirements.

U-Factor : 0:30, SCGC: 0:23, VT: 0:45

U-Factor: This measures how well a window insulates. Lower is better. A U-factor of 0.30 indicates good insulation.

* Using Low-E glass can help lower the U-factor even more.

This type of glass has a special coating that reflects heat into the room, improving insulation.

SCGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient): This measures how much solar heat a window lets in. Lower is better in hot climates. A SCGC of 0.23 is pretty low, suggesting good solar heat control.

VT (Visible Transmittance): This measures how much visible light a window lets in. Higher is better for natural light. A VT of 0.45 means a decent amount of light will come through.
